Meet Maxi, a 9-month-old sweetheart who reminds us every day why we started Aura Paws Rescue.
Maxi came to us full of energy and a little bit of mischief, as any puppy should be! At 9 months old, she is discovering the world one sniff at a time. She loves her treats, enjoys making new doggy friends, and has a special talent for finding the sunniest spot in the room for a nap.
Watching Maxi grow and gain confidence is the greatest reward we could ask for. She’s not just a rescue dog; she’s a family member in the making. We are currently looking for a special home in the Richmond Hill area (or beyond!) that can keep up with her puppy energy and give her the lifelong love she deserves.
Are you the one Maxi has been waiting for?

Meet Cheddar, a smart, affectionate, and highly social young pup with a joyful spirit and an adventurous heart. He’s eager to learn, very people-oriented, and at an age where he is wonderfully adaptable and ready to thrive in a loving home.
He has a great balance of playful energy and companionship, making him a wonderful medium-energy puppy for an active adopter.
He enjoys exploring, playing, meeting new friends, and would love a home where he can continue building confidence and learning through positive experiences.
Whether it’s weekend road trips, nature trails, or neighborhood walks, Cheddar is ready to be your sidekick. In return, he offers loyalty, laughter, and a heart full of love.

Duncan spent the first year of his life as the cherished companion of a devoted senior owner. They were a team, walking side-by-side and keeping each other company every single day. Tragically, life changed in an instant when his owner suffered a severe stroke and was left unable to provide the care Duncan needs. Through no fault of his own, this beautiful boy is now searching for a new family to love.
Because his world was turned upside down, Duncan can be a little shy when meeting new people for the first time. He likes to take a moment to assess his surroundings and make sure he is safe. But don't let that initial bashfulness fool you!
Once he knows he can trust you, Duncan's true teenage self shines through. He transforms into an incredibly playful, affectionate, and wonderfully silly boy. He has a heart of gold, a sweet disposition, and a highly social nature once the ice is broken.
Duncan is looking for a patient and loving family who understands that good things take a little time. A home with a structured routine will help build his confidence as he transitions. He would do fantastic with an active individual, a couple, or a family who can channel his youthful, playful energy into fun training and daily walks.
